Our client is a small biotech company with a strong pipeline and marketed product. They are seeking an Executive Director of Biostatistics to play a key role in the development of innovative therapies to treat unmet medical needs in novel ways. This is both a managerial and a hands-on position; The Executive Director will be responsible for a small team of Biostatisticians and serve as a strategic resource to the overall Biometrics team. You will also oversee outside vendors and help to bring outsourced efforts in house. This is a highly collaborative role, interacting regularly across functions including Statistical Programming, Data Management, Regulatory, Medical and Clinical. The Executive Director Biostatistics will strive to stay current on new methodologies and innovations in the field, as well as changing regulatory guidelines and procedures. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable expressing their ideas and be adept at communicating sophisticated statistical concepts to non-Statisticians. A PhD in Biostatistics or a related field is desired, as is 10+ years of experience in an industry setting. Strong MS-level candidates with a deep understanding of cutting-edge methods and additional years in industry will also be considered.
