Job Purpose

The Director, Commercial Analytics, will¬† be providing business insights and holistic solutions to help steer the strategic directions and improve execution efficiency. You will be responsible for the development and evolution of this new function within Commercial Operations. You will collaborate across multiple functions within and outside Commercial Operations to leverage data and analytics to drive strategic and executional excellence. You are expected to be proficient in communication strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical ability and be able to provide cross-franchise support to peers in areas such as incentive compensation (IC) design and field force restructure initiatives. Specifically, you are accountable for insights-driven performance reporting such as key performance indicators (KPI) and QBR dashboards, advanced analytics such as predictive modeling, marketing mix resource allocation, and daily ad-hoc from different businesses stakeholders to address business-critical questions. You will partner and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Sales Operation, and Finance to provide analytics that is aligned with strategic imperatives. You must be comfortable with operating in a fast-paced “start-up” type environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in the strategic and tactical plans to proactively support performance measurement and reporting needs

• Develop strong working relationships with Sales, Marketing leads, Directors, and different functional leads within Business Insights and Analytics (BI&A) to maximize the value of various analytical capabilities to drive overall business performance across franchises

• Demonstrate proactive curiosity challenging status quo business thinking and leverage the best practice in analytics to bring in fresh insights

• Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and strategically, to build alliances cross-functionally, and the flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

• Develop performance reporting and provide ad hoc, deep-dive analysis in secondary analytics as required to uncover and understand the market and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and risks on time.

• Align current data sources for both strategic and operational use in a cost-effective way

• Perform return on investment (ROI), impact analysis, and marketing mix optimization to help the business franchise efficiently allocate resources to maximize brand potential

• Maintains awareness of evolving analytical techniques, software, and data sources to bring innovative approaches into the organization that drives higher quality results

• Conduct physician behavioral segmentation studies to inform targeting exercises.

• Keep abreast of market & industry developments and incorporate applicable trends into competitive dynamics

• Ability to synthesize findings from different assessments and present meaningful insights and actionable recommendations derived from the analysis

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, or any related fields preferred

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in brand performance analytics, physician behavioral segmentation, marketing mix optimization, promotion response modeling, targeting and sales force sizing and structure, and test/control analysis ROI analysis

• Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Access, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Experience and knowledge in Python, R, Power BI, and Tableau is a plus

• Extensive knowledge of various industry data sources such as IQVIA Rx data (xPonent, xPonent Plantrak, DDD, and HCOS) or Symphony Rx data (Prescriber, Prescriber/Payer, PHAST), Patient Claims data, Patient Longitudinal data

• Demonstrated ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, inform, and negotiate. This candidate will also have demonstrated initiative, creativity, and ability to work in complex, rapidly changing & ambiguous environments.

• A proven self-starter with a strong hands-on orientation, this candidate will have demonstrated the ability to manage, lead, inspire and develop direct reports and peers.

• Demonstrated ability to influence others; Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally

• Refined communication/presentation skills and an ability to work well up and down the command chain internally and externally

• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
