The Position
Lead support for development of Forecasts for Rare Diseases portfolio and upcoming new Therapeutic Areas including, but not limited to CV, NASH, and Alzheimer’s. For in-line brands, based on assessment of market trends and expected future events, this individual is responsible for helping support delivery of holistic, insight-driven volume forecasts for our Rare Disease portfolio. For future pipeline products, responsible for developing methodologies and approaches for assessing the market landscape of new TAs and developing assumptions-based, but fact-grounded forecasts. Communicates realistic demand expectations in a clear, concise, transparent manner, and to all levels of the organization. Sets direction and drives continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies, tools, and core deliverables.
Relationships
Reports to Director in Finance & Supply Chain. Contributing member of the Finance & Supply Chain department. Day to day interaction and collaboration with many areas of the business, including Sales Insights & Forecasting, Commercial Marketing, MAPA, Strategic Pricing, Product Supply, Finance Business Partners, Global Corporate Finance, Global Insights & Forecasting, and multiple teams within Commercial Insights & Analytics, IT, external vendors, 1 Direct Report.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required. Degree in an analytical field (e.g. economics, business, finance, engineering, econometrics, or statistics) is preferred
• Master’s degree in analytical field (and/or MBA and/or CPA) preferred
• 12+ years of relevant analytics, forecasting-related experience demonstrating a steady career progression with increasing roles of responsibility. Advanced degree or consulting experience may be substituted for 2 years of professional work experience
• 8+ years of pharmaceutical forecasting/analytics and/or strategic consulting experience required. Advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of related work experience
• Strong project management skills required, with experience developing methodologies and approaches for new therapeutic areas preferred
• Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and follow through in a timely manner as well as anticipate potential roadblocks required
• Understanding of IQVIA data, including its scope, uses, and limitations preferred
• Demonstrated analytical skills via MS Excel and presentation/communication skills via MS PowerPoint required
• Prior Business Intelligence (BI) and Data visualization experience helpful but not required (Tableau, Qlik, Alteryx etc.)
• Ability to effectively communicate insights to senior management teams, synthesize complex information, make it relevant, understandable and actionable for internal stakeholders required
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders required
• Strong analytical, problem solving and quantitative analysis skills required
• Strong collaborative and customer service skills required
• Strong innovation and adaptability: must be able to identify better ways of doing things and work with others to improve methods and procedures; required
• Managerial experience (if applicable): Prior managerial experience is strongly preferred
